Co-Owner & Tattoo Artist
{They/She}
Suz Pittenger is a lifelong artist who embarked on their tattooing journey in 2011, relocating from their hometown of Tucson, Arizona, to Fort Lauderdale, Florida for an apprenticeship. After two years, they moved to Pittsburgh, PA, for a guest spot and have called the city home for the past decade. Suz and their husband Jay fell in love with the Capital Region, particularly Albany, and made the decision to settle in the area in early 2025. Suz feels a profound connection to the Hudson Valley and Adirondacks, drawing inspiration from the local flora, fauna, and natural landscapes.
A self-taught oil painter, Suz’s passion for art has been evident since childhood. Over the years, they built a strong portfolio with American Traditional tattoos, neo-traditional and along with award-winning black-and-gray tattooing. As their artistic style evolved, Suz embraced illustrative fineline work, intricate blackwork, and geometric tattoos.
Their dedication to learning, growing, and pushing the boundaries of their own work is evident in every tattoo they create. Suz values the relationships they form with their clients, taking pride in the collaborative process of designing and executing each piece of artwork. They enjoys working with clients who appreciate the importance of tattoos as a form of self-expression and artistry. Their favorite subjects include large-scale botanical designs, colorful neo-traditional, bold blackwork pieces, mandalas, henna-inspired patterns, as well as bones, skeletons, animals, and spooky motifs.
